Gastromyzon are small hillstream loaches from Borneo that cling to rocks and graze biofilm in fast, clean, well-oxygenated streams. They do best in tanks with good water flow and plenty of smooth stones. Our range includes Gastromyzon katibasensis, lepidogaster, punctulatus, monticola and aeroides.

Gastromyzon feed mainly by grazing biofilm and algae from rocks, so a mature tank with plenty of hardscape is important, supplemented with suitable prepared foods. Keep the water cool, clean and well oxygenated, and add them only to a fully cycled tank.
