Snails make useful, peaceful tank mates for shrimp, grazing on algae and leftover food. Our range includes nerites such as the Military Helmet snail (Neritina pulligera) and Red Racer snail (Vittina waigiensis), and the unusual Orange Rabbit snail, which suits tanks with a more neutral pH.

Nerite eggs need brackish water to develop, so nerites will not overrun a freshwater tank, although they may leave small white eggs on hardscape. Make sure snails have enough algae or supplementary food, and keep minerals up so their shells stay healthy. Snails also help clean up leftover food that shrimp miss.
